Default Getting an SC!!!

Just had to share my joy with all of you. If all goes well, I'm going to be getting a Vortec S trim with the boost gauge, pod, anderson power pipe, and a couple of other bells and wistles for $1700, and it only has 6000 miles on it, owner wrecked the car (rear end) but everything else is sellable. Can't wait, and the best thing is he lives just 60 miles away.

One Q, if I'm already at 280 rwhp, what would I be at, approx, after just the S/C? Also, do you guys think 30lb injectors and a 155lb hr fuel pump will be enough?

No, the pump/injectors definately needs to be bigger. You can calculate your rwhp number
as follows: 8-13 hp per lb of boost.

In the tech aricles under, Black Box article, it tells you how to calculate your injector size and determind your DC, etc.

Nice score on the blower also

What's the combo now? Is that like a GT40/GT40P headed combo? Or maybe some Edelbrocks with a horrible cam?

With 10psi, I think you'd be over 400rwhp with no problems.

I'd put in a 255lph and 42s.

If that's a 347, burn it. GT40X heads are not "great". The B cam straight sucks. But that kind of power would have been my guess with that heads/cam combo on a stock shortblock. Do you really trust the guy you bought it from? I would have serious issues believing that's a 347 if I put down those numbers.

Aren't those dyno numbers with the stock heads and intake? Or am i missing something. What are you saying fullauto? If i read right and the numbers are with stock heads and intake, what should his power be?
