i was just saying. i understand its all matched and its not bad i dont guess for the price. it just makes you wonder when you get passed by a guy with gt40's you know.

i think with a better cam in the trickflow kit they would see more than 300rwhp with some longtubes and the supporting mods.

JT are you going to run boost?

turbo all the WAY. max that block out for sure. quicktimeturbos.com

this guy is local and post on some of the local boards. if he can make over 400rwhp on a stock 140k motor i am sure it can max a block with a h/c/i

damn.

so imma make it aware that im a total no0b to heads........

so whats the big difference in gt40p's and trick flow's if they make the same power?!!?!?
(weight maybe?)

if you can find gt40p's for cheap.....then whats the bonus of spending 1300 on trickflow's. and other heads?

I officialy hate you![8D]

Thats only 10hp less than what Im making with AFR's, E-cam, and an Eddie 5.0. Looka like I need to tear my motor apart sooner than I thought.[:@]

its a trickflow stage 1 and gt40 (non p) heads. i was more surprised by the (301) torque numbers. peak power was at 5500 rpm, peak torque was at around 4100-4200. it makes 240 torque starting at 1700 rpm[:-]and stays close to that until about 6100 rpm. i think with a few more bolt ons, i should be right at around 285 hp. i would be happy there.

no as cast the trickflows obviously outflow the gt40's,they are lighter, provide better cooling, better valves, springs, locks, and a lot of room for improvement.

as the gt40's/p's are a great head just the opposite of everything i said above without puttin a lot of money into the heads.

i didnt want to spend 1000+ all said and done on some cast iron gt40's when i spent 1150 to my door for my tw's all new and ready to go and when i put some boost to her i am gonna have some port work done and different cam and an easy 500+whp dd/streetable/track car
