i could get fully stock 351 w for 250. should i buy it rite now i got a stock 302 and looking to build an engine. the 351 stock vs 5.0 stock which woukd have more power also what kind of things would i have to change to swap the 351 in my car. thanks guy and tell me what you think also what kinda cam could i throw in there.

 

351, build it how you want. Way more potential for power than a 302. And you'll need different headers.

lil consideration

 

I would go with a 351W any day over a 302. Only downside is that its a little bit heavier (dont know exact number but above post says 100lbs). but the benefits (listed above) definetly outweigh that one small little con. There are a few companies out there that sell conversion kits (FRPP I believe is one of them), is the 351W complete?

 

yes its a complete engine. i will most likely change cam valve springs and the intakes. will this work with my fuel injection or no ?? and also this will bolt up to my stock auto tranny? thanks guys looking forward to getting this engine.

 

The 351 is going to have a 28oz balance so you will need to get the right balancer. Your AOD will bolt right up.If you have mass air your current fuel injection will work but you are going to need a 351 F.I. intake. What year is the 351 youplan on getting?
