Default A cheap recommendation...

Umm so my car has been pinging some and tended to bog down under hard acceleration.
my uncle said it could be part of the fuel system, since it wasn't timing.

so today i went and bought a new fuel filter. after fighting with the little clips on the fuel line, i got the old one off after swallowing some gas, then put the new one one. i tried blowing through the old one just to see if it was clogged. boy was it.. i could hardly blow through it!
after i started my car back up i drove around some. boy did that make a difference!!! much better throttle response and best of all NO PINGING!

it made me really happy. lol the moral of the story is: keep up on changing your fuel filter.
i thought i would share that with you all, since it's a cheap, easy thing to do...

How'd the gas taste? Yeah, it's a good idea to change the filter, it often get's overlooked. I dont see how that would eleminate the pinging though. What is your timing set at and what octane do you use?

If your spending the extra money for premium you should go ahead and bump your timing to 13 or 14 degree's.

i know... i had to run premium before though. i'm going to try regular again just to make sure the problem is gone, if it is it's back to premium and am going to bump the timing.
