i use 10w40 and its about a quart little low by the time i need to change it anyways. then again my front drain plug is stripped and it leaks a little out there as i drive.. never any on the ground.. but i can see droppletts around the drain plug

i dont burn any at almost 180k on my 91 but i do leak oil thank to a leaking oil pan gasket

How come you guys all run 10w40? Ive always ran 5w30 or 10w30.

hopefully I burn none... but the underside of my car is wonderfully clean, no oil combined with dirt and road grime crap as far as I can see.... which is opposite of what my old buick used to look like... that was a really greasy old car.


dont know of her past, but I baby her, I cant afford to break her right now

About a 1/4 of a QT inbetween changes but thats what it leaks not burns[:@] should have it all sealed up by spring.

i bought my gt wit over 200,000 miles on it but the motor still runs strong and it doesnt burn a drop of oil

mine doesnt burn any at 160,000 and i run it hard. it used to leak a little around the pan gasket but i took care of that.

Too much! Car has only 99,000 miles but sat for 8 years before I bought it. I suspect that the oil rings are shot. Still has good compression. Also leaking bad from front main seal. 1 quart = 700 miles.
