this guy at my work asked me a question about a tach hes usin he says it has two wires one goes to the tach wire on the distributor and the other goes ?????
im drawing a blank for some reason
p.s. its goin on a 350 chevy motor with hei ign any help would be appreciated

tell him the coil that would be a good place to start

there are two types of tachs... voltage triggered or current triggered.....voltage is tapped off neg side of coil....current is tapped off positive side...often times tacs will have a internal ground wire too....but usually a tac works off one signal wire that goes to the coil
