My '85 w/ a rebuilt AOD trans is not downshifting under hard accleration. Took it to a shop to check the TV linkage, but they think it is in the shifter itself. Not very experienced with auto trans at all. Does the shifter and its linkage rod have that much to do with catching a passing gear? and if so what is a good replacement in non-race application - any good sites with install help?
