DARE TO STAND OUT. OK BLACK IS SHARP BUT DO YOU WANT TO LOOK LIKE EVERYONE ELSE

I couldnt have said it better. Black looks awesome, but I want something different. I want mine to be orange.

Not to mention, black is hard to get perfect. You can see EVERY little defect in the paint.

I have had 2 black stangs. The last is currently for sale. Black is hard to keep clean. Every Friday, I would get out of work and come home to give her a wash, wax and clean/polish the rims before the car show on Friday nights. By wednesday, the car would be filthy. And if it lightly rains, forget it. you get brown spots everywhere. The only benefit is when it rains hard, I have so much wax on the car it just beads up and rolls off.

But, it is true, you can't beat the look of a jet black fox especially with some chrome rims. I say, If youi really are commited to black, and you have a couple months, then pull the motor. You'll be much more satisfied in the long run. Also gives you a chance to paint the block/oil pan/ heads etc. As much as I hate that chevy orange, it looks real good under the hood of a black stang. Red isn't bad either though.

How about a charcol grey? Black is great when it's clean, but it takes a lot to keep it clean. If you have it garaged then get black if not go with something different.

If your going to change the color pick something other than black or add some metal flake or something. Or use something similar to the maroon with flake or pearl then you won't have to paint engine bay or jams

see, i wanted to keep it stock colors, but the maroon isnt nice to look at.

since the engine bay would be red, what do you guys think of white, with red accents, like on the bumper mustang lettering and the engine bay accents.

trust me i'm trying to get myself to just freshen up the stock paint but....as i said it aint as pretty as some other options.

blue like mine?

I was gonna paint mine black, but I've decided to eventually redo it the same as it is now. I might just go a TAD bit darker, but not much at all. I get so many compliments on the color of my car I think I'll stick with it.

Do something interesting IMO. Dark gray with black stripes, somethin crazy and yellow or blue, I dunno, somethin diff though.

What if you went with a brighter red or something along those lines then the bay wouln't look too out of place.

My stang is white with red accents and I love it. The white is relatively easy to keep clean, and the red accents just give it enough colour so that it is not completely bland. Plus the lettering really stands out.
