man....you so gotta post a video or update when this all goes down!!!.....my friend and her 68 cougar is equally compared with my 66 and when we run at the track were side by side but she always says she let off a lil...yeah right....she can get me off the line and win everytime cause she has drag radials and I have plain street tires so we go from a roll and it's even but everytime she makes an excuse why were even.......I should just race her in my 85 and spank her from kingdom come and back but that'd be to easy of a win

If he ported and polished the heads himself, then my guess would be that he either has some serious flow imbalance issues(unless he actually flow benched them etc) or that he overported a head with an already large port(Clevelands can do with port cleanup, but in most cases no actual porting is necessary) and has no induction velocity. That's the thing I really dislike about the Cleveland heads, is the ports in most cases are just do darn big for most street engines, but I do like the Brodix Neal BF series and the CHI heads, since they mate the Cleveland style valve arrangement with an appropriate port size.

360 hp ehh???[sm=icon_rofl.gif][sm=icon_rofl.gif][sm=icon_rofl.gif]more like 270 and if you stay off the NOS IT'LL BE MORE OF A CLOSER race which IMO is a lopsided victory for you..he can't think that with the NOS he'll hang with you...I have a friend with a 68 cougar also who runs 13.00's with a best of 12.94 @ 104-105 ish...and it put down 268 rwhp with a mild h/c/i
Yeah, I know I'm not getting 360hp from the TF kit (I've done my homework)... I'm expecting about 270 at the wheels and about another 100 or so at the wheels with the 150 shot. That should put me somewhere around 370 or a little more at the rear wheels. And with the 3.73 gears, suspension work and slicks, I'll have no excuse for a bad 60'. Both of us have been racing at our local track since we were 18 and now we're 42, so we know how to drive 'em hard. No matter who wins... it should be an interesting race and loads of fun.

Oh, and here are some pics of his car...

good looking car but he runs 13.0's on all season tires????

I went 13.20's on worn summer tires, with a less than optimal tune/driver mod. The all season(aka snow rated performance) Bridgestones I have now grip even better.

And that is a clean little car.

My Toploader is 2.78 in 1st with a 3.00 gear out back. Not exactly what you'd call a performance gear. I'm shifting into second at just under 60mph.

Why is there a for sale ad in the middle of this? Anyway, to the OP I think a 3 1/2" exhaust could hurt the performance of a 302.
