i'm going with built 408 just because i'm an all motor type of guy. i'm more reliability and consistency than, o %$#@ i wonder whats going to happen this time
331 turbo I'd definately build off an aftermarket block, the advantages are high power for the displacement, so the mileage will be better than a larger engine. The 408 would be a cheaper build and could be done off a stock 351 block. A much simpler setup, and I like all motor as well, with maybe some nitrous for the track just for fun.
