Where would i go about finding something to keep this from slidingt off the throttle? Im assuming that linkage is something for the amount of tranny fluid anyway any help would be appreciated.

 

Junk Yard, take one off a 4 banger, or V-8 Ford or chevy. Anything carbed

that's the kick down grommet for an 85 cfi auto/aod mustang

 

Those are like 3 bucks or so from the dealer I do believe. If you can find one thr correct size. Just get a bunch of zip ties and go all the way around it so it doesn't come off lol. Pretty much make your own bushing.
OR
Get some safty wire and put a little on there so it won't come off.

 

I think if I remember right it might be a c-clip that retains it on??
