Default Keep EFI or go CARB?

I have an 88 GT that I converted from speed density to MAF with the FMS cobra conversion kit. It has trick flow track heat heads, cobra intake, trick flow roller rockers and pushrods, F-303 cam, and a stock lower end. I had a bd-11a blower for a while and could not get the tuning right. I tried bigger injectors with matching MAF. I even tried an Accel DFI system. I eventually gave up and sold the blower, DFI, and the injectors and MAF.

Now I have severe drivability issues. It runs bad when cold and even after it is warmed up it is very finicky. I changed my temp sensors and my MAF. I can't pull codes because of the 88 harness and the 03 cobra PCM. I dont know where to go from here. I am almost ready to put a carb/intake on it. I only drive it 200-300 miles a year so milage is a non issue. i just want it to be fun to drive again.

Are there any suggestions on where to go from here. It is in storage for now, but by May I would like to be tinkering on it and actually driving it from time to time.
