Default Help with manual

Hello all - i'm a newbie here. I just purchased a 1987 Ford Mustang GT 5.0 (always wanted one and finally got it!). It does need some work to it and am wanting to get opinions on which is the best repair/restore manual that I could buy, and catalogs from places to purchase parts. Some of the things I'm needing to do are: Change a valve cover gasket (first thing), of course change the spark plugs, wires, air filter, oil + filter, etc. I'm wanting to get it back to basic "sound" and "solid" conditioning because it will probably be a driver and not sit in the garage just to look at. Any and all advice is greatly appreciated. THANKS!!!!

Welcome and congrats on the stang!! Glad to hear your car will be driven and not a trailer queen or just something taking up room in the garage. Haynes or Clittons are good low cost manuals 25-30 bucks but they don't give you all the info like the ford ones but they are expensive unless you can find a good deal somewhere. Also check out autozone.com. Parts places: Latemodel Restoration Supply, Fox Mustang Restoration or JC Whitney are good ones my favorite being LMR.

Good luck and happy driving!!!
