ok so last time i posted it was about my offroad pipe, i got it and installed it and still am frustratd about the sound.....i have stock headers, bbk offroad hpipe, flowmaster mufflers...dunno which ones 2.5 inch pipes.....how do i get this thing louder???

 

What is it with everyone wanting to be louder? Flows are pretty loud. I here SLP is pretty loud but I think it sounds like ***. MAC Pro dumps are louder than the flows and it is around $190 from latemodelrestoration. They bolt right up to the offroad pipe and are ready to hang. No welding involved bc they have done everything for you. I have them and I added a set of tail pipes bc I like that sound better than the dumps with those mufflers.

 

depends on if you have the 2 or 3 chamber flowmasters... 3 are quieter

 

im thinking that i may have the 3 series....it just seems like its not loud like it should be....

 

do you have a pic of the mufflers, the 3 chambers are longer than the 2s by a noticable amount. 40 series Flows with an offroad midpipe is pretty loud, i ran that setup for a couple years.

 

no...i dont have a picture off hand right now...and its raining but they are pretty small. im not impressed at all with it i barely noticed a difference with adding the mid pipe

 

i ahve BBK shorties, BBK o/r x and 3 chamber flows...and its pretty loud, it SCREAMS at WOT...even though shes not running right at ALL right now...if i dont sell it for a 94/95 then ill be getting SLP

 

i have flowmaster 40 series american thunder with the mac x pipe mines loud but not to loud

 

stock headers?

 

87-93 came with "stock headers" from the factory.They are headers but they are dented at the ports which make they retangular and not flow as well as aftermarket ones. Easier install for the factory.
