Default troubles with f303 cam

this is sort of stang related and sorta not . what i have is a 1994 f-150 markiii edition , just got it last night .the engine in it is out of a 95 5.0 stang been reworked to a 306 and has the f303 cam in it (done by a speed shop in hickville usa ). the truck runs great and everything but on the first start when it is cold you have to help it along (start it give it gas for a few then let it go on it's own).but once warmed up it does just fine .
i was wanting to know what i could do to fix this .i did notice that it still has 19lb injectors in it still , stock mass air meter and stock intake .
and yes i do have the paper work to show what it has in it .
any input would be great . thanks again guys .

I'm pretty sure the stock the F-150s didn't get MAF until '96, but he says the engine is out of a '95 Mustang so it may be. I've never heard of an F-150 MkIII though? [&:]

it is a markii edition has the ground effects premium wheels and wood grain trim and such nothing fancy .
and isn't the mass air meter on the ford trucks mounted to the air box ? because that is where this one is .
like i said it is nothing horrific after keeping the idle up to 1k for like 30seconds it will hold normal idle , it just wont plain out by it's self .
so there it is , i will try to load pics of the engine compartment so you can verify if what i am thinking is the mass air meter is actually a mass air meter.
