roll cage? install?
looking for a 8 or 10 point cage how much lighter is the chromoly over the mild steel and can anyone give me a vendor that they have used for this before? There are so many prices out there its hard to get the good info, I will be welding it in my self so I am looking for something that is notched and I have no griding to do. Has anyone done this before?
i would like to know to about the goods?/bads with the mild steel and chromemoly

Moly needs to be tig welded and in theory the joints should be annealed after, otherwise they are more brittle than the surrounding metel. A typical 6 point roll bar is about 20lbs lighter if it is moly. Mild steel is cheaper and can be mig welded with annealing, it is also A LOT cheaper. Most of the pre-bent cage kits will still need some tweeking. Don't exspect them to "slide right in".
