RESTORATION PROJECT
Hey guys, I am the proud new owner of a 1988 GT5-Speed. It is going to be a 100% restoration project like the thread title reads. My wife and I started taking out interior pieces to do a quick look around and the more we looked, the more rust we found. It has a sun roof on it and I popped that off and almost had to hold my breath from the rust dust. So then we decided to fully gut the interior and it is so bad that the forward-left drivers seat bolt was rusted all of the way through the floor. The bright side is that it runs and drives good (will do donuts and brake spins like hell
), it runs strong, the drive train is good. Its just the damn body is gonna need ALOT of work. We took it on a 40 mile or so ride around the country and no problems. I will post pics just as soon as my wife takes them.
