well i was goign to do heads cam intake, but decided i needed a tranny for the power, and i didnt want to put any more money into my aod piece of junk, so i scored a used tko 600 with 3000miles on it, with a blow through bell house, clutch, and pressure plate for $1500 on ebay! already have the peddals sitting at home, so ill be goign to town on the swap once i get out of college for the summer.

any advice on the swap?

get a better shifter, the stock tko one sucks..

I've still got the original shifter and it works flawlessly for me. I've thought about buying another one but i cant justify the cost because i dont need one. I never miss a shift. When i'm shifting from second to third i just push straight up and it goes in everytime with no grinding and no problems.

Fastblack, thing is, my dad wasnt even shifting while moving, he barely missed 4th, and it locked, and you have to drop the tranny and pull a cover, just to pull on a chunk of metal and put it back in


its more worth the 150 bucks than the 5 hours of wasted time

i actually havnt had the car at the track yet, this summer im probably goign to be spending a lot of time at Byron, and Joliet....Were is Gateway? ive heard of it but never been there

hey man..off ur original topic but on the other..me n my buddy(95stang5.0) are gonna be headin to byron in the next couple weeks too...i think its like the 27th or something..the have just a test n tune..nothin else scheduled..so itd probably be a good day to get quite a few runs in..have to watch for ya..cuz we plan on not necessarily racin..but goin to joliet n byron more than we did last year...not sure if ur familiar with the area..but were like 20 minutes and 30 minutes north of bloomington.

ya im in bloomington at school and my car is in st. charles . I get out around the 10th of may so once i get out and get my tranny in ill start going. My car has a big a$$ silver stripe on the hood for now so its pretty noticable lol
