Default anyone know ne thing

i have a 94 gt and its over heating i put a new thermostE IN and a radiator and still over heating when it over heats there no heat there was alot of brown sluge in the old radiator ne idea what it is or what i can do

One way to test the thermo is when its warmed up the upper rad. hose should be hot and so should the lower, did you use a 180?

Sounds like your heater core may be clogged or you have a large air pocket in the system.

if its brown and slushy you deff need a flush. if it still over heats and you already replaced the thermo and radiator than try the heat exchanger.

yeah top off the coolant till its completely full.
then drive it a little and check the level.
if its low and the level in the overflow tank is the same then you have an air bubble.

yea i drove it and came home and with cap open and givin it gas bubbles and foam came up i took the thermostate out if its air how do it get it out a friend looked at it and said it might be a head gasket but there noting in the oil and no water in the exhaust

I had the same problem with my 95... I replaced the old thermo and like yours had a brown sludge in it. Didnt thrill me considering I only owned it for a few months. But i got the same bubble action after tryin several different methods of getting the air out of the system. I never had water in my oil either. They should have installed an extra bleeder valve on these motors cause it seems like a common issue for some... like myself...

heats up at idle and when drivin it stay up just inside the lines of normal and some time dipps to the reds and holds steady
