Slicks on stock rear end
So my buddy gave me a set of used Hoosier slicks. Cant think of the size off the top of my head but they are for 17's.. And thats the size of my stock rims. Is running slicks on my stock rear end gonna be ok? or am I gonna scatter it when I rip off the line?

What RPM should I leave the line at with slicks? Ive never ran with slicks before just street tires.. But I feel Im gonna need a sticky tire with my nitrous..

Like Primetime said it's basically a crapshoot. Some people run their stock axles successfully and others not so much. If you're on stock gears you need to be very careful about bogging. My friend's intake/exhuast '03 GT broke his stock axle with Nitto DRs on his 3rd launch because of bogging.

So lauching on a low rpm causes bogging.. So launching at 3500 or better would be best? I understand it could break either way.. But not much for wanting to replace the rearend just yet.. Whats a good clutch to go with for dropping those RPM's?
