Default Nitrous Bottle Mounting

Where is a good place to put a 20 lb bottle on a notch? Ive got my battery on the right side of the trunk and i tried fitting the bottle on the left side and the truck hinge hits the bottle wheni close it. With the spare tire indentation its hard to mount the bottle anywhere but sideways in the corner, and i worry about the syphon in the bottle not getting all the nitrous under accleration. what does everyone think?

Put it next to the battery.

No room to put it next to the battery. Keep in mind the spare wheel well leaves small ledges on the sides to mount on.

well your kinda **** out of luck try your best at putting it on the driver side. From what I was told now I don't know if its totally true but you must for nhra and w/e requirements must have it so the neck of the bottle is facing towards the front of the car. So good luck keep us posted on how you do.

you can mount it sideways and rotate the bottle accordingly so that under acceleration most of the NOS goes to the tube...I know the issue you are having mounting the bottle = been there done that!! but it will fit to the left......part of the rear mounting bracket will overlap onto sparetire cover but I removed spare so accessing area = no more of a concern for me....see here it what I did:

Get yourself a nice peice of plywood. Take the carpet out of the trunk, lay it on the plywood and trace it onto the plywood. Now cut the plywood so it matches the carpet.

Put the plywood into the trunk and screw the plywood to the floor of the trunk. Place the carpet back in the trunk to cover the plywood and you will have more room to mount things and they wont shift.

Not sure what NHRA rules say about that set up but it worked really good for me.
