optima redtop battery Q

Default optima redtop battery Q

can this battery be charged with any jump starter? iv heard it needs something special.

i ran 1 in my jeep for yrs. never heard of anything special. i used a regular battery charger.

you shouldnt hit them with more than 2 amps... they get really hot if you try to juice them too much

you can charge it just like any other battery. I have been using those for at least 10 years now. my boy has six of them running his hydrolics and charges them all the time with a craftsman 30 amp charge.

irregardless of what he does doesn't make it right.....in theroy they are suppose to be trickle charged if using a regular type charger

trickle charge is just setting the charger to lowest setting usually on 2 amp charge as to not force the charge in = overheating and ruin battery.....since optima batterys are od a dry cell nature type there is no liquid inside them.....nor is there a vent on them

ahhh i see, thanks, my batterys is kaputz so i think im gunna pick up a red top, just wanted to figure out that charging issue. thanks for the help guys.
