I understand there are long rod 302's, but I really dont see it too often. I had a rebuilt motor before this one that was bored .040 over.. I didnt go parading around saying I had a 308 or anything.. it was a stock POS rebuild..

What I find really funny is when ricers (accual imports) bore their motors over not even needing a rebuild. And they think that it does add alot of HP. When in fact the only reason to really bore a motor over is to clean up the cylinder walls during a rebuild. Unless you are trying to get every last cubic inch
. I say mine is a 306 but I am not parading around like it is something bad a$$. I just say what it is.... a 306.

306..308....whatever....I personally use the term to signify the motor has been rebuilt correctlyand not a scuff and dip overhaul and there is a difference
