[8D]steeda tri ax here and i have no complaints on how it shifts as it does good at any rpm, though the only complain i have for the steeda tri ax is that i noticed a lot more noise 'road noise' through the shifter but its all good my motor drounns it out[8D]

if you buy a cheap one... and by cheap i mean not all one peace... you will have to buy theard locker its a type of super glue for bolts... if you dont use this your shifter will come loose every other week...
ps I picked up a cheap shifter on ebay $40 theard locker $2.67 works greaaaat... good luck

if you get a quality shifter then there should be no need for loctite.

I've got the same noise with my tri-ax
I thought something was wrong with my car, at high rpm's on freeway I can hear a noticeablly louder noise than my stock one had.

Aftermarket shifters do not have rubber dampners that drown out transmission or road noise.

I have tried every shifter mentioned in this thread. I prefer the "straight" design of the Pro 5.0 and is now on my daily driver.

MGW is a nice piece as well.

B&M Ripper is an awesome shifter, it has an adjustment on the base which allows you to move the shifts closer or further away from you depending on how you like to sit which makes it nice. Other than that there are no other adjustments, just excellent solid shifts and a good machined piece. Another tally for the B&M Ripper, although I have used a MGW and loved the feel of it as well.

I have heard of a lot of people breaking the Steeda shifters, so I would venture away from them because that would just plain **** me off if I broke my shifter in half! Pro 5.0's have always been praised. I would never buy a cheapo shifter off of ebay. Most of them do not have adjustable shift stops and can cause damage to your shift forks. just an FYI
