What Do You Guys Think Of These Tires?
will be gettin some new tires soon, just gonna get some street tires...i have the Nitto 555Rs on my weld draglites, can/will swap those over when I want. Right now I have 96 cobra rims on the car, and love the way it looks, so gonna get some tires for it.
gonna go 255/40R/17 out back
gonna go 225/45R/17 up front (maybe 235 if I need to)
the tires I am looking at are the BF Goodrich T/A KDW NT
my buddy has these on his 95 and loves them, anyone with any input?

i heard good things about those, but if u have the 555r's already why not go with just 555's for street tires then? keep it all nitto that way. also how do you like those tires, was thinking of getting some 555r's but not totally sold on them yet.

next summer I am doing the 13" cobra brake kit from 50resto...and getting some blackchrome bullits, when I do that, it will be back to the 555rs for the DD
and, personally, i LOVE the 555rs...i've never been to the track, will only go a few times in my life, and this car is my DD, so they are perfect, they grip great on the street, and will still kick the *** out and roast them when you want them to
...i love them

i just found on tire-rack the KDW2s...those are the one my buddy has on his 95...idk if they are the same as the ones i posted, the tread looks pretty much the same..idk if the two diff sites i used just described them differently..but it would be the BF Goodrich KDW2s i would buy..

I've only heard great things bout the KDW2 tire, its what i plan to get for my new rims. As for size, 255/40 is going to be a lil short, if you want 255s go with a 255/45. I had the regular 555s on my car when I first got it and they were pretty much garbage, i wouldn't recommend them as there are better tires out there.

only thing will be the speedo will read a lil fast. Compared to 245/45-17, 255/40-17 is 2.5% too fast. When your speedo reads 60 mph you are actuallytraveling 58.5 mph.
