Default replacing bypass hose

ok ive another one for you guys that have been there and know all the tricks. im attempting to replace the short L-shaped bypass hose that goes from the thermostat housing down to the water pump. the other longer hose isnt a problem. can this be done without taking anything else off or am i kidding myself. if theres a trick to it, let me in on it. ive run out of ideas[:@]. thanks.

GREASE the ends and squeeze the L shapped hose ends together and let it spring into place ..I use a flat blade screwdriver to push it on being careful and usually have hose clamps on hose first

i attach the end on the water pump and connect it, then put a large screw driver between it the and the thermostat housing and pry against it.. works everytime

I had to cut my old one off and I had to cut an inch off the new one. Use a small dab off soap on the t-stat housing and the waterpump. Itll make the hose slip on very easily.
