My new exhaust system is on the way and i am going to put it on my 87 GT. the system is a Pypes off road x pipe and 2.5" muffler system. I'm taking the stock off. never done anything with the exhaust on this car yet. Any pointers?

 

take your time, leave everything loose and then get it tight from the back up, put a jack under that x pipe cuz it doesnt have any hangers, mine pissed me off! jack it all the way to the floor, when everything is tight and you drop the jack it sould be fine. good luck!!

 

yeah jack up the x, tighten everything, and be sure to have a can of pb blaster.
also a hoist made my exhuast install pretty easy
