Black Magic Liquid Wax - Review
to start, im no expert at waxing cars.
ive only waxed a car/truck 10-15times.
but id like to think ive perfected techniques for hand waxing.
i bought black magic liquid wax at my local auto parts store. was on sale from $6-7 to $3, so i figured id give it a shot.
well out of 10, id rate this as a 4-5....... ok........ but nothing great.
the wax is easy to work with, but seems to be thin....runny even.
im not bad at applying wax, but if i even slightly laired it on too thick, i would get all kinds of whired spots..... made the paint look like it had OIL on it or something.
i gave up on it after 3 layers on the trunk. it was CRAP!
maybe if you where REALLY good at hand waxing, or you where using a tool, it would work, but looked like crap to me.
so i pulled out my trusty 'ol turtle wax, and yea, its alot harder to work with, but never fails to make the car look great.
my car looks good, prob going to put on another 2-3 layers on the hole car tommarow.
this is my review, what do you guys use to wax?
my dad told me i need to use a "detailing" spray now to make the wax look "wet" whats that mean?

You really don't need to put several layers of wax on a car. One is fine... adding several layers won't add more shine, you'll just create a wax build up problem for yourself.
well i just got done 100%
exhausting, but well worth it.
more and more i reolize this paint job wasent taken car of, i was told its only 2-3yrs old, but once after that, the car sat for that hole time.
waxing the car today has made me reolize it prob sat in the SUN for 3yrs....... [:@]
it looks alot better then it did before, so im happy.
ill be sure to try the "ice" wax next time though

I've also heard good things about NXT for a synthetic wax. Another good synthetic is Klasse All-In-One.
For my Vert, I use Obsessive Wet Wax, which is a carnauba liquid.
I know many of you have seen my before and after, but for those who haven't:
Before:

After: Meguire clay, Obsessive Light Polsih, Obsessive Wet Wax
