Do you mean getting second gear rubber after lighting them in first? Or are you pinning the tach from a dead stopand dumping the clutch in second? What gears do you have? More info on exactly what you're trying to accomplish would be nice.

Still not enough information...If I light my tires from a light (considering I'm Trying to do a burnout), I blip the throttle twice and dump from whatever RPMI decidethen feather out to just before redline run-out (hook) then throw the clutch in with a sidestep stab of throttle to keepthe revs up, then dump again with hammer down. There are two distinct sets of footprints laid down. The second set is always paler and longer. The first gear part is shorter, darker and more dramatic and sideways if I initialize it. If you are just talking about dumping the clutch in second to do a burnout, I don't know. Sorry...

Me??? Dunno, never tried. Can't speak for the OP though. I've had my car for 10 months and done 1 burnout. I ****kicked my other stangs and got them (burnouts)out of my system. This one is too nice, I'd rather it hook...if you were referring to him, disregard this...

I've heard a lot about 2nd being weak in the T-5. Wouldn't dumping into 2nd not be the smartest thing if you're acutally putting out some power.............

For my settup the T5 is just fine but I don't maim it either so ???? The OP isn't making anywhere enough power to blow a T5 unless he is hellbent on doing so...

Exactly how much HP does it take to break one ? I'm curious as to how long ours is going to last.
