Default own a TKO?

if some one near Covington, Louisiana owns a stang w/ a TKO500/600 or T56 and wouldn't mind helping some 1 make a decision, i would be most grateful if you would allow me to see how the trans feels. im thinking about switching to a 5 or 6 speed but im wondering how they feel. thanks!

When i first got a TKO 600 i would grind third on occasion. The problem wasnt with the tranny it was with me. If i try to shift it lazy i would miss third but if i just slam it straight up from second it go's right in. In other words when shifting from second dont go up and to the right just go straight up and you'll hit third everytime. You wont be dissapointed. TKO 600 FTMFW!!!

I agree with fastblack, i had a prob gettin into 3rd but like he said slam it straight up from 2nd and youll hit third everytime,,

only other problem i have has was on friday night at friday night test n tune drags, did usual 1-2nd burnout, staged, shot off the line in 1st slammed 2nd went to third, guess tranny didnt want 3rd, acted like it was hung in 2nd, got outta it, ran through all the gears on way through lights just checking them out, never did it again not sure what that was all about

I heard the stock shifter on a TKO wasnt all too great and an MGW is the best for it... true/false?

(sorry if this is an unintentional hijack)
