if he drives much in town or city thats gonna be a lot of shifting with 4.10s...i have 3.73s with my 5spd and love it..not tooo much shifting goin on intown..just enuf to keep me busy lol...and as for what they'll do..they will make u accelerate faster, make your car feel like it actually gained a lot of power(when in reality theres no hp gain) but it will feel a lot faster..

373s work great for me, my uncles 4.10s get kind of annoying when i drive his car in town, 3.55 is probably best if you plan on using the freeway quite a bit still. i'd say stick with the 3.73s just dont pay that much to have them installed
