So I hate buying cars that have been somewhat modified cause you never really know what has been done to it, but i got this one for free so I cant really complain. Its 88 LX 5.0 5 speed, so I find out that the previous owner put in a new tranny like 5,000 miles ago. But its not a T-5. So what other tranny fits in the fox body? He said something about having to cut part of it so it would fit in the car.

5 speed- 3550 or tko, maby a t5z, but prob a tko.

 

t-5z spec is same as t-5 externally..internallt there a few changes so it wouldn't be that one...most likely it's some form of a tremec as to which one?? post a pic of it if you can
