Default 331 help????

i have a 331 eagle kit with all forged parts. the pistons are srp flat tops(-5cc). i bought it used got all new bearings to put in it. i have a older set of windsor sr heads(58cc), and i want to use them, but i also want to use my blower(6lb). the comp is 10.47:1 with these heads, and it is supposed to be nuetral balanced with a 28oz damper. the cam i have is a tfs 51402001 114 duration blower cam. does this combo sound good?? i want to make decent power with out breaking anything. i really could use real world advice?????????????

you need larger dish on the pistons 10.5 to 1 is to much for blower application.you'll be running race gas if you try that and don't want to blow something

as far as i know, you cant neutral balance (zero balance) a rotating assm. and then put a 28oz imbalance on it, that would make it shake...
thats a little too high to be safe on 93 octane i think, sure you can do it, its only 6psi (btw you should make enough power to blow the block in half) but you will need a good intercooler or meth injection, meth probally being better in your case and get a very conservative tune.

eagle makes internal balance cranks, if it was internally balanced, you do not use a 28oz flywheel/flexplate or 28oz balancer.

thanks alot. the 331 should much more power than the stock 302(with blower), right?! that way i may not want to run the blower. also why does the rot. ***. have a damper if it's balanced?? it's a romac not sure what type they make. also comp should be good with these heads without blower? last question, the h-beams are marked with dots from 1-8, what the crap does that mean?

yes woody is right, you need neutral balance flywheel/flexplate and neutral balance dampener.

your always going to run a balancer, it will just be a neutral balance, it wont have a counterweight in it, like the external balancers have.

if they are marked, it DOES matter where they go..... they are numbered for a reason

The ONLY reason I mark any rods on engines I build is because all rod journals vary in size and I tailor bearing clearances to each journal, so if I marked a rod #1, it was because of bearing clearances, other than that it does not matter.
