i would go with the boss unless your going to try to pull insane power out of it. Ive heard the dart is a little stronger but it costs $400 more and requires more machining. Most of us are never going to go over 1,000hp anyway

DEPENDS ON YOUR BUILD AND HP GOALS AND WHICH DART BLOCK YOU ARE refering to??? there is a dart 4 bolt main on 3 mains and one with 4 bolt on all 5 mains...and the boss has 4 bolt on 3 of 5 mains....so it all depends but for builds under 1000 hp I'd go Boss

DART, without a doubt.

The DART has better oiling, thicker cylinder walls, 4.125" bore option (no added cost), billet main caps, longer cylinder walls (less scuffing/better piston control), larger "recommended" max bore, and an overall stronger block (better webbing/beefier), and better finish.

I would go for BOSS if I had the money. I like the newly designed blocks.

dart would be a better block but for 99% of us we wouldn't need it.
unless 1k horses isn't enough then you'll have to buy the dart.
but the boss is more than sufficent for a big build. and its cheaper too

if you are building a 347 the dart is the only way to go. alot of engine builders wont do a 347 unless you are doing a big bore 347 on the boss and iff you do that it will be maxed out on the bore the first time it is built. but the boss is way cheaper i have seen them for 1500 shipped and if you find a dart for under 2000+ship

they go 4.200 like a dart, there only issue is the very short cylinder skirt.
