I'd just get the regular 6 AL......the 2 version is new and I don't know anyone as of yet around here running one to comment accurately on it

A bit better spark than stock. Multible sparks per fire below 3K rpm.

I thought the -2 had a 2 step built in?

*edit* Yup!

MSD is excited to announce the next generation of 6-Series ignition controlsthe 6AL-2! These all-new ignition controls combine a new housing, new digital controls, and more power in a sleek package. You still receive the 20 degree duration of multiple sparks, combined with higher output to ensure complete combustion. There is a 2-Step rev control built into the housing, but there are no rpm modules! Adjustments are made via four rotary dials for 100 rpm increment control! The all-new capacitive discharge ignition will easily connect to nearly any 12 V negative ground distributor system, even Hall-effect pickups. They offer higher output, with up to 135mJ and 535 V, and accept points and mag pickup triggers.

This new unit offers more output than the standard 6AL , and more digitalized.

The only thing I like about the boxes is that, they help traction with the 2 step, and improve throttle response.

As far as the Rev Limiter in RPM, I dont know if the ECM will still regulatemax RPMwith this box or not.

In any case, if you are not modded with HCI etc, dont expect much.

the ECM will ALWAYS regulate max RPM, unless you have a tuner go in and bump it higher than 6250
