RE: Headers hitting steering knuckle HELP!
running it through the lt headers?? i can't heat them to dimple the headers because they're ceramic coated $$. Has anyone thought about bending the ears on the steering knuckle itself for added clearance??

RE: Headers hitting steering knuckle HELP!
when i did my shorties, my steering shaft rubbed abit. i contacted bbk and they said to loosen the four bolts on the steering column and slide it in/out to get more clearence. this worked for me but i dont know how muchclearence you need

RE: Headers hitting steering knuckle HELP!
i've decided to replace the motor mounts tomorrow as thet desparately need it. the bbik long tubes do not allow enough room between them to move the steering shaft in between them at all so that idea is out, but i my end up lowering the steering knuckle itself as well for added clearance. thanks guys

That's the most retarded thing I've ever heard and not necessary!!
You most likely need new motor mounts. Or, you can shim the drivers side mount w/ a couple of flat washers to raise the side slightly. that's what I did until I was able to replace the mounts.
