Default Headers hitting steering knuckle HELP!

I installed BBK Long Tube Headers w/ an off road H-pipe, and an slp loudmouth catback exhaust. Thesteering knuckle is smacking the headers so I can't turn the wheel! I've thought of beating the header back heh. The most reasonable idea would be to bend the "ears" on the steering knuckle. I have already raised the position of the engine at the motors mounts slightly for added clearance just to get it home. Any ideas... someone has done this mod before.

i had the same problem with mine. Some retards told me to beat the headers in, but thats just stupid since you are damaging the headers and decreasing the flow.

What you need to do is go and buy a new steering shaft such as one of these http://store.summitracing.com/egnsea...115+4294849065

do it right!

it all depends on how bad it's hitting mine was slightly rubbing...so what "would" of been a waste would be spending money on the steering shaft....instead of heating it like I did and put a small dimple.....which isn't gonna affect a thing = didn't damage it or decrease et numbers..infact gained .200 of a sec in et

That's the most retarded thing I've ever heard and not necessary!!

You most likely need new motor mounts. Or, you can shim the drivers side mount w/ a couple of flat washers to raise the side slightly. that's what I did until I was able to replace the mounts.

I just put a small ding in the header pipe that was hitting it didn't take much and that was with the energy suspension mounts. and it never hurt our car it still ran 10.99 with the old set up. when it was done it looked like the factory put the ding there. ours was the 1 3/4 tubes also
