how do you decide how to sell an old car that doesnt run.

its a 1977 thunderbird
carb'd 351
paint/body is in perfect condition.
interior looks great
engine bay looks not so great due to it sitting for about 2 years.



as far as i can tell it need new points and battery. other than that i dont know if anything else is wrong with it(maybe new filters, fluids, ect.)


how much do you ask for something like that

Put some cash into it, make it run. If it is as nice as you say, you should be able to get a lot more coin from it running. I am thinking like 1500 running and 500 not running(that is if it is worth getting running) Scrap prices are up right now too...225 a ton in my area.

no more than afew hundred if you can't hear it run cause that's the big unknown

well i offered this person two things, either A) help them get it running or B) let me have the motor if they're gonna scrap it.

they dont want to do either, i hate stubborn people!!

Tell them to just sell it for 500then. Stuborn people suck cause you can't convince them to change their minds, so don't try and argue haha.
