I'm about to buy a new shifter (not sure wich one yet) but I also need that metal trimmed rubber boot that goes on the trans tunnel hole to keep out exhaust... that piece is $40 alone... but I was told that it comes with a new shifter. just wondering if anyone knows if it comes with a particular brand of shifter. I don't want to spend $40 on it if it comes with the shifter I need as well.

dont get a tri-ax... the only reason I have one is because the PO put it on

and the innerboot doesnt come with the shifter... LMR does sell a kit IIRC that has the inner/lower boot, the leather boot that goes around the handle, and the black plastic trim piece for the console.. well, at least they do for the foxes... as I see you have an sn95

but, I have heard nothing but good from the MGW or Hurst. if you want a tri-ax by all means buy one, if you like aluminum handles that can snap on a whim... I think it was Adder who needed stitches and a new radio after his broke...
