resetting computer

Default resetting computer

i redid the timing on my car and i was told that i need to reset the computer. how do i go about doing this?

Disconnect the battery and wait 15 to 30 min than reconnect.....only thing you need to do if you redid the timing is before you set the timing you pull out the timing spout connector, set the timing you want, than reconnect the timing spout. than you should be good to go. Heard you can unconnect and connect the timing spout while the car is running but personaly I like to disconnect the spout than start the car and set desired timing than turn off the car and reconnect the timing spout.

so do i put the pill/spout back in before or after i reset the computer??

you don't need to reset the ecm when soley adjusting timing
