I am not really sure as I have just now started to do my research on it. Heck, for all I know I could stay with the 302 and just go with a supercharged, or twin turbo setup. I saw a twin turbo setup that uses similar turbos that are on my 335i right now and it looked pretty wicked.

Thanks again for the warm welcome, I look forward to learning from you guys....

My vote would be for a nice single turbo setup on a good block. Dart, DSS, something along those lines that can handle some power. If you really are looking to sink 10K you can have a killer build easily.

Very true. Step 1 is to find a decent 5.0 in my area to start with. This is going to be a long project so there is no rush...

2 grand will get you a nice rolling chassis.

for a rust free good running lower mileage fox (100K) with a half decent interior can run about 4 grand and up, depending on area.

I got a good deal on mine, but it needed work. 11 months later, Ive almost got everything on my fix list (more cosmetic now) crossed out... being a broke college lad doesnt help lol
