ok im planning on building a nitrous motor with a stock block for my 87 ttop gt and everyone i have talked to have told me to be sure its concrete proof. what is this??? i have heard stories of ppl putting concrete around the cylinder walls, could they be talkng about that??? if so how is that done? and does any one have any pics?? any thing will help thanks

You are kidding right? If I told you to make it bullet proof would you wrap your block in Kevlar?

It just a way of saying make it tough so it will hold up tot he nitrous. Just build it with forged parts, pistons mainly.

um........what? people use concrete now on engines? where the hell have i been! thats why my car is so slow, need to add some more concrete to it

What the person HOPEFULLY was trying to say is that you need to make your bottom end solid, concrete, bullet proof,= basically indistructable with forged internals and a main cap girdle wouldnt be a bad idea either.

also people fill to the bottom of the frost plugs with concrete or some kind of hardened filler but thats for some serious ****.

if you are building a NO2 motor define your et and hp goals first....that way you'll see if a aftermarket block should be recommended
