331 estimated power??
I built a 331 for a friend of mine and we arent quite done with the rest of the car, this is the setup anyone know a ballpark power output?
Trickflow R series intake
75mmtb
edelbrock vic jr heads 2.05in vlv 1.60ex 210cc intake runners and 76cc exaust port
comp cams stroker grind 579/579 615/615 with 1.7 rockers 236 248 dur
42lbs inj
76mm mass air
comp ratio 10.4:1
1 3/4 in shorty headers
2 1/2 in x-pipe
dynomax ultraflow mufflers
any educated guesses are appreciated, if you know of any similar combonations and power output please do tell! i know there is no sure fire way to know exept thru dyno which will be done after were done with the car! Car is a 93 lx notch.

im not a guru by any means, i know whats on my car and how its going to work, the setup doesnt seem too bad, large head, high rpm flow intake, im guessing it will be a little lazy off the line, esp if its an auto and gearing is going to be a problem if stock, but i imagine from 3k it will move.

who knows, just b/c it makes 330-380rwhp, (the auto just kills hp too), it doesnt mean you are going to "fly", i would worry about ET more than dyno power. theres a guy, 302, gt40 junk, didnt make much more than 305 rwhp, he changed something it would have added a couple ponies, and mustered a 11.19 @ 115, thats an example of too much gear and not enough hp...

My guess would be around 450ish at the crank at around 6,700ish rpm maybe? Big cam, big heads, big intake. A 331 with that setup and a 3,200 stall with 4.10's should get down the track quite quickly though.
