yeah sell the truck and buy one with the 4.6 or 5.4 in it, it'll be less hassle and cheaper in the long run and remember you have an electronically controlled tranny and your car is equipped with various control modules such as abs, tcm ,ecm, pats, ect ect that all operate on a CAN SYSTEM = controller area network BUS system, and if you try to slap a carbed 302 or efi set up not compatible with Can NETWORK YOU will have a whole new set of problems just a thought

You might want to consider looking into a supercharger...If the truck is paid off the extra money could be used for that.

they do have a procharger system for my truck....could be an option. i'm just havign trouble finding traction bars for my style truck.....they all stop at 04. cant find anything for 05. not much aftermarket for this vehicle exhaust....crappy cast headers and cheap catback systems.

custom turbo! forced induction is DEFINITELY your best bet. why would u want to get rid of a 3 year old engine?

4.2 liter 195hp is not really my cup of tea. i wanted somethin with a little more bite. but a turbo would be nice!

lets run with this idea. would a T3-T4 turbo would nicely for this?

lol the 4.2..same motor i got in my 02 f150..hate it...worthless sound..slow..just no fun..but with the price of trucks dropping these days id just buy a different one ...i looked at a 06 ext cab, 4x4, f150..nice color too like the champaign i guess witha darker two tone stripe on teh bottom...they only wanted like 14k...and it had like 35 or so miles...i definatly thought about sellin the mustang and the truck n gettin that...but i think im waitin for this year of college to get done so i have a full time job then just keep the stang n sell this truck for a new one...sum it up..new truck ftw

no manual tranny shouldn't be computer controlled.....but that won't really change much cause it'll still have a speed sensor on it which is a vital input to the ecm

blah....so i guess forced induction would be the only option if i wanted another toy.

hard enough to fund the mustang project as it is....i think i'll stick with that.
