I used a bench grinder and just ground through them. Theres nothing wrong with cutting them, in fact the Moroso trick springs I have say "Cut to desired ride height" on the installation directions. Just don't heat them up with a torch. Thats what gives you the ricer bounce and makes them unsafe.

I think I took a coil and a 1/4 out and the thing sits perfectly.

Lob a coil out, and see how she sits. If it's too high, pull them out and take a half off. (Yeah, I know that sucks, I did mine twice.)

I swear the guy that invented the spring compressor had a death wish.

Sidewayz6.0 : We couldn't for the life of us get our springs in, then I told my dad, lets put wood across the engine bay and put all the cinder blocks can we get on it. We had so much freakin weight on there. That and a couple other little things we finally got them on, I'm afraid if we take them off we won't get them back on. Being shorter should help.

did you use a large pry bar to hold the spring in the perches while you had the jack under the tip of the control arm?

None of that worked because the whole car would lift. So we did the bricks then put a ratchet strap on it and compressed it together and it worked.
