Default Question About Cutting Springs.

Ok, as most of you know, our car sits to high in the front. Sure, you don't have to worry about hitting parking blocks but thats about it.

So, I know a lot of people just cut the springs down, how would I go about doing this ? What should I cut them with ? How much should they be cut ect ?

~Thanks.

cutting springs is a dangerous thing to do. greatly reduces the overall stability of the spring.
if you want a lower ride, cheap, go junkyard shopping and find a 4cyl, and take the front springs from it.
they flex more, so the ride will sit lower, and the car will jump higher when launching, causing better weight distribution, therefore stickier launches.

cut off wheel.

you should allways cutmark straight down from the end of the last coil to cut exactly 1 coil length off and ensure equal ride height when complete. dont want gansta leanin vehicles.

I've heard of using 4 banger, our car used to be a 4 banger, the springs are probably laying around. How much would 4 bangers in the front drop it you think ?
