there may be one somewhere, but the scanner didnt find anything wrong, (no trouble codes), and when spraying all the hoses nothing changed in rpms. I have no idea what the hell the problem is, and it doesnt look like its going to get fixed today so im pretty much screwed. Stupid *** ford and previous owner.

Im assuming so since there are no CEL codes, but how do you check? Disconnect the plug and hook it up to a voltmeter?

Just probe the wire. You can disconnect, if you want to.

It appears my voltmeter is broken now Im not even getting any volts when checking the battery for volts :'( damnit now i have no way to test the voltage going to the iac

found another one, YAY. I tested the plug going into the IAC (removed it from the iac and stuck the plugs into the connector), and it's showing -14.09 volts? What's that about.

That's a good reading. I'm assuming that the leads were reversed. Red is positive. OK, have you determined that the throttle plate is fully closed when the car is running?
