Dude your car looks fairly polished already. #1 deoxidize,I use acetone but DONT do it unless you know whats goin on.#2 work paint machine buffer.graduating foam pads usually 2 or 3 different works such as cutter/polish/final polish.Anyway waxing somtimes adds scratches for me and I dont do it. Meguires is a decent product... 3m is unsurpassed sofar in my limited exp.Can be found at autobody supply shops.

You apply the compound (usually 1000 or 1500 grit) with a buffer to remove anything in the paint the regular polish wont take out, after the compound you use the polish (with the buffer) to bring the shine back up, then wax by hand seals in all the goodness. It takes a little time.

I had the same color fox for 17 years...so I know it well!...You need to apply a good pre-wax cleaner, sealer glaze & a good wax....My process was to put on WET and take Off WET, panel by panel...That's the key!
Mothers makes a good product as does Meguires (NX 2 wax)....recently I added the Wet Obession ($50 BUT worth it!!) to my '03 Cobra...Looks great! ...I would not use a buffer on your paint as you do not have a clear coat and you could burn your paint if your not careful

What he said. Compound first for the cutting action, polish 2nd for bringing back the luster to the paint, and wax last for the top layer protectant. If you can't find the good stuff locally or still have questions then jump over to the detailing section and PM Justin from Obsessive Detail (juztang)....he is VERY much recommend and gets major props from everyone he sells/talks to. His products are a step above OTC and are priced right...and he sells all the tools to.
