Nevermind. I found a 1988 SSP on ebay with a factory 5.0L / 5 speed stick-shift (found a few of them actually).

What got me to asking is that one of the teachers where my wife works saw my '66 in the carpool line, and said he has a 1985 SSP (former CHP car), and he's thinking of selling it. I got the chance to ask him more about the car over the weekend, and it has the 5.0L, 5 speed, and is painted dark gray. I am mildly interested in it, since I recently discovered that racing an auto at the track is extremely boring to me (I had been racing a 2006 4.0L/5spd coupe, but sold that and started racing our 4.0L/auto vert). So I will be going to take a look at it soon. If it's more than I want to spend, then I may list it here in MF's classifieds section on behalf of my wife's coworker.
