can you get rid of the IAC?

the iac does more than just adjust idle for a/c, it adjusts idle for pretty much everything affecting the engine including temp, fuel quality, etc.
what would be the gains of blocking the IAC off? car would idle like **** without it, CEL on and probably wanna stall all the time.

Unplug it, then you will have to adjust your idle up to keep your car running and then your TPS. Then drive around with it and see if you could deal with it. I have mine uplugged for a while trying to figure out and idle issue and I didn't like it.

the issue I'm having is that my car doesn't settle right to idle when you let off the gas until you come to a COMPLETE stop... it's weird... like the car knows it's still rolling. it goes to around 1000 rpm then settles to around 850 (my idle) as soon as you come to a complete stop. I'm thinking it's the IAC.

^^^^that's the dash pot function that is programed into the ecm on sn-95's and one of the reasons for it being in the ecm was due to the numerous warranty claims on t-5 trannies, the idle hangs briefly so gear changes on the fly aren't as abrupt so the flywheel and input shaft remain relatively close in speed, if you have a stand alone tuner I believe you can alter the dash pot function???? but don't quote me on it
